The UAZ crew took second place at the “Gold of Kagan-2024” baja
The team of the Ulyanovsk automobile plant “UAZ Sport” showed good results in the second stage of the Russian Rally Raid Championship – Baja “Kagan’s Gold-2024”.
According to the press service of the automobile plant, the crew of Vadim Novikov and Dmitry Rybin in the UAZ “Patriot” car took an honorable 2nd place in the T2 standings and 2nd place among the teams.
The races took place in the Astrakhan region. In four days, the athletes covered 1,150 km, of which more than 900 km were high-speed sections.
The route was difficult. The riders were treated to steppe roads, dunes and sand traps, as well as the sweltering Astrakhan heat.
“The crew of the factory team demonstrated their skill and successfully completed all the tests,” the UAZ statement says.
