In Kolyma, the head of a communications company is accused of embezzlement on a large scale

25th of April. Investigators of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Omsukchansky district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale embezzlement using one’s official position) against a 46-year-old woman, the head of one of the communications enterprises, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Magadan Region told MagadanMedia.

The illegal activities of the citizen were revealed by employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Magadan Region during operational search activities.

According to investigators, in the period from May to June 2023, the woman, for selfish reasons, using her official position, committed the theft of funds entrusted to her and disposed of them at her own discretion.

The suspect was interrogated, and a preventive measure was chosen against her in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior. She compensated for the damage caused in full.

The sanction of this article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
