Blagoveshchensk became the winner of the Spartakiad of the cities of the Amur region in swimming. The competition took place in Tynda. The capital of BAM hosted the teams of Blagoveshchensk, Belogorsk, Raichikhinsk, Shimanovsk, Zeya, Tsiolkovsky, Magdagachinsky district and Tynda. The competition program included individual swims and team relays.

For women, Victoria Malakhova from the regional capital finished first. She covered the distance in 29.22 seconds. In second place is an athlete from Zeya, Valentina Gusevskaya. Natalya Koroleva won bronze in the swim, reports the regional Ministry of Sports.

Among the men, Roman Kalyuzhin from Blagoveshchensk was the first to touch the side of the pool, his time was 25.44 seconds. In second place is an athlete from Tynda, Daniil Lavrentyev. Dmitry Kovalev from Belogorsk won bronze.

In the women’s 4×25 meter relay swimming, there were no equals to the athletes from the regional capital. Representatives of Zeya finished in second position, and athletes from Belogorsk swam to bronze medals. For men, the distance was twice as long – 4×50. Blagoveshchensk residents also swam to the finish line first, Zeya swimmers took silver, and Belogorsk athletes took third place.

As a result, the winner of the XXVI Spartakiad of the cities of the Amur Region was the Blagoveshchensk team with a score of 364.5 points. This year’s vice-champion is the team from the city of Zeya (302 points). Third place and 294 points for Tynda.
