SEVASTOPOL, April 24. /TASS/. The State Academic Maly Theater presented on the stage of the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Lunacharsky the play “The Big Three (Yalta-45)” based on the play by Swedish playwright Lukas Svensson about the events of the Yalta Conference of 1945.

“The connections between the Maly Theater and Sevastopol, the Lunacharsky Theater are already lasting, and the first theater that came under the “Big Tour” program after the reunification of Sevastopol and Crimea with Russia was the Maly Theater. We are already good friends,” noted the artistic director of the Sevastopol Theater when introducing the premiere Theater Grigory Lifanov.

The performance was directed by People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Zhitinkin. The action of the play takes place in February 1945, when in the Livadia Palace, not far from Yalta, Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt solved the issues of establishing the post-war world order. According to Zhitinkin, among the main features of the production is a look at famous events from the inside and what is happening behind the scenes of the conference. The role of the Prime Minister of Great Britain was played by People’s Artist of Russia Valery Afanasyev, the President of the USA – People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Nosik, the Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR – People’s Artist of Russia Vasily Bochkarev.
