Employees of the department for combating the unlawful use of information and communication technologies of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Magadan Region, as a result of operational activities, identified a 21-year-old employee of the marketplace who committed theft in the amount of over 430 thousand rubles, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Magadan Region told MagadanMedia. .
Between March last year and February 2024, the employee at the delivery point ordered goods, usually clothing, and then allegedly refused to purchase. She processed the return, but instead of the goods, she sent empty boxes back to the sellers.
An investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Magadan opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed on a large scale).
The girl voluntarily gave the police part of the stolen goods. The criminal investigation continues.
The maximum sanction for this article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
