A drunken Tula man hit a child and decided to evade paying compensation

A drunken resident of the Tula region killed a child and refused to pay moral compensation to the family. A tragedy happened in Bogoroditsk: a 35-year-old motorist drove onto the side of the road and ran over a boy.

In addition to criminal punishment, the court awarded the driver 800 thousand rubles in moral compensation – the money was to be received by the relatives of the child who died at the scene of the accident. The bailiffs initiated enforcement proceedings, but according to the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Tula Region, the man was in no hurry to pay off the debt. The bailiffs found out that the criminal owned two real estate properties.

“The service officer issued a resolution banning registration actions with apartments, and subsequently seized one of them,” the department clarified.

As the Service noted, only after this did the debtor compensate for moral damage.
