The European Mathematical Olympiad for Girls was very successful for Russian participants. Our team will bring four medals home, two of them – the only gold and one silver – will come to Moscow. Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova shared information.

— Moscow schoolgirl Natalia Lenskaya won a gold medal. Elizaveta Zhukova from the Vorobyovy Gory school won silver, explained Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova, adding that the capital is very proud of its winners.

In total, representatives from 50 countries took part in the intellectual competition. The girls had to solve problems in algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinatorics. Moreover, a student from school No. 2086 in Moscow received a gold award at the European Mathematical Olympiad for the second year in a row.
