Magadan Children’s Music School celebrated its 70th anniversary

25th of April. The Children’s Music School of Magadan celebrated its 70th birthday with a report concert “Let’s celebrate the anniversary with our beloved city” (6+). The concert, held at the Cultural Center, coincided with another important event: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the regional center, the press service of the Magadan City Hall told MagadanMedia.

Deputy head of the municipality Yuri Kazetov congratulated the oldest institution of the city on its anniversary on behalf of the mayor of Magadan, presenting a memorial address to the director of the music school Galina Rudaks.

— Today, your educational institution is famous for its strong teaching staff, honorary employees, and laureates of international competitions. Piano and violin, domra and accordion, button accordion, cello, guitar, flute… – the arsenal of musical instruments is quite wide. Vocal and early aesthetic development, pre-professional training – teachers successfully implement many programs that become the first step for the development of young talents.

Keeping up with the times, you successfully introduce and widely apply innovative technologies, exchange experiences, develop popular educational and creative projects: “Little Musician”, “Children for Children”, “Young Guitarists Club”, “Musical Lounge”, “We – Populists”, “Musical Family”.

I sincerely thank the school staff for many years of conscientious work, great contribution to the aesthetic education of the younger generation and the cultural development of the city of Magadan. A low bow to the veterans of art, who over the course of seven decades created the history of the school, supported and preserved long-term sustainable traditions established in the distant 50s. Everyone who worked here before and now, who studied and is studying there now, can rightfully say: “This is my favorite school!”, the memorial address says.

The festive concert was attended by teachers and students of the Children’s Music School, winners of competitions and festivals at various levels, and creative groups that are well known not only at school, but also outside it. Musical congratulations were heard from school graduates, art college students and guests invited to the celebration. Works by foreign, Russian and contemporary composers of various styles and genres were performed here.
