A pedophile was sentenced to 16 years in Kaliningrad

The Kaliningrad Regional Court passed a verdict against a man who committed crimes against the sexual integrity of minors.

The court found that in the summer of 2019, a 51-year-old resident of Svetly 3., while near a reservoir in the village of Lyublino, against his will, put a 10-year-old girl, whom he had previously known, into his car and committed other acts of a sexual nature against her. He committed similar actions against the girl subsequently – from June to December 2019.

On August 6, 2022, 3. committed other acts of a sexual nature in the courtyard of the house against two more girls – 9 and 10 years old. He was previously familiar with one of them, since he lived next door to her.

At the court hearing, Z. did not admit guilt in the incriminated crimes.

By the verdict of the Kaliningrad Regional Court, defendant 3 was sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment to be served in a maximum security colony with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to working with children for 15 years.

In addition, after serving the main sentence, 3. another 1 year 6 months will be limited in freedom, with restrictions imposed on him: do not change his place of residence, do not travel outside the municipality where he will live after serving imprisonment without the consent of a specialized government body and the obligation to appear at this body for registration 2 times a month.

The court verdict awarded compensation for moral damage in favor of the victims in the amount of 700 thousand rubles. The verdict has not entered into legal force, the court’s press service reported.
