Since the beginning of 2024, the capital has completed the dismantling of 67 displaced houses under the renovation program. This was announced by the head of the Department of Urban Development Policy, part of the Complex of Urban Development Policy and Construction of the City of Moscow, Sergei Levkin.
– In 2024, it is planned to demolish over 200 houses resettled under the renovation program. Moreover, 67 of them have been dismantled since the beginning of this year. Of the remaining residential buildings scheduled for demolition by the end of the year, some of the houses have already been completely occupied; work is underway to disconnect them from utility networks– emphasized Sergey Levkin.
Houses that have been resettled are being dismantled By “smart demolition” technologies. Its main principles are safety, environmental friendliness, as well as effective waste processing and recycling. After recycling, materials can later be used in the construction of roads and new housing.
Previously Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin reportedthat over 160 thousand residents began to move into new apartments under the renovation program.
