Safety

Smolenskenergo reminds of the need to comply with fire and electrical safety rules in everyday life, in summer cottages, as well as in places of active recreation.

Remember! A poorly extinguished fire or an abandoned cigarette can ignite dry grass and spread the fire to existing electrical installations, resulting in a long interruption in power supply.

Prohibited:

Throw foreign objects onto the wires and supports of overhead power lines.

Climb onto overhead line supports.

Approach closer than 8 meters to the broken wire.

Enter existing electrical installations and turn equipment on and off without permission.

Arrange playgrounds and sports facilities near substations and overhead lines.

Erect structures and carry out any work that may impede access to power grid facilities.

Be located within a fenced area and in the premises of switchgears and high-voltage substations.

Light fires under power lines or near transformer substations.

Without written permission from Smolenskenergo, carry out construction, major repairs, reconstruction or demolition of any buildings, structures in the security zones of overhead lines and/or in the immediate vicinity of power grid facilities, carry out loading and unloading, dredging, blasting, reclamation work, as well as planting and cutting down trees and bushes, field work, setting up corrals for livestock, constructing wire fences, storing or placing storage facilities for any materials, including fuels and lubricants.

Be careful! When near substations, pay attention to the inadmissibility of the presence of unauthorized persons on the territory of power facilities. If you discover open access to the substation territory (an open door, a broken fence, a broken lock, etc.), malfunctions in electrical installations (trees falling on overhead power lines) and broken or hanging wires, please immediately report this by calling the direct line of Rosseti power engineers Center 8-800-220-0-220.
