Large-scale work, which is being carried out in stages, started on Zemlyachka and Irkutskaya streets immediately after the end of the heating season in the region. The heating network is being updated as part of the Company’s investment and repair programs.

As MTV.ONLINE reports with reference to Heat Supply Concessions, this year another 300 meters of pipeline will be replaced on the heating network on Zemlyachki Street. Preparatory work began two weeks ago.
New pipes are made in Russia and have undergone strict control to ensure compliance with the declared performance characteristics.– noted the head of the section of the centralized repair shop No. 4 Oleg Vasyuchenko.
Experts note that the past heating season proved the timeliness of the decision made on a large-scale reconstruction of the heating main on Zemlyachki Street, which provides heat to 164 houses where more than 50,000 Volgograd residents live, 14 kindergartens, 3 medical organizations and 13 schools. In total, 1,200 linear meters of pipeline have been renewed here since 2019.
Large-scale work has also started on Irkutskaya Street. Here experts will replace about 400 linear meters of pipeline. Currently, thermal chambers are being updated here as part of the first stage.
All work will be carried out without disconnecting consumers from the resource: for this we will specially lay a reserve pipeline so that citizens do not feel any inconvenience– explained the head of the section of the centralized repair shop No. 2, Alexander Ivanov.
The heating main on Irkutskaya Street supplies 80 houses, 8 kindergartens and 5 educational institutions, 1 medical organization and 17 other consumers.
In addition to the actual laying of new pipes, building structures – trays and floor slabs – will be replaced here. The work is carried out in accordance with modern technologies: if previously ordinary metal pipes were laid in the ground, which were subsequently insulated with mineral wool and then wrapped with covering material, today we use pipes with factory-made mineral-polymer foam insulation. This reduces both installation time and, most importantly, heat loss,” said Alexey Gulyaev, chief engineer of Heat Supply Concessions LLC.
It should be noted that design solutions for replacing sections of the heating network were synchronized with technical solutions for expanding the roadway on Irkutskaya Street.
We would like to add that after completion of construction and installation work, hydraulic tests will be carried out. In addition, the updated pipeline will undergo an industrial safety examination.
