The traditional sports festival will take place on May 1 on Teatralnaya Square in Rostov-on-Don. The head of the city administration, Alexey Logvinenko, announced this in his Telegram channel.
On the holiday, performances will be organized by the best musical and choreographic groups, as well as sports federations of the city.
“The active work of thematic (sports) sites with presentations of sports will be organized. They will also hold the traditional Open Rostov-on-Don tournament in street basketball (streetball), a festival of extreme power sports, a boxing tournament, and a master class from the Rostov-Don handball club,” wrote Alexey Logvinenko.
The event will also include the May Day relay race, which has been held almost every year since 1923. It will be attended by students of educational institutions, work teams, representatives of various national and cultural associations and government officials.
