A 38-year-old resident of the regional center turned to law enforcement agencies for help. He said that a large sum of 350 thousand rubles had disappeared from his card. The man kept this money to buy a plot of land near the city. The deal was supposed to take place in the coming days. But when the Kostroma resident decided to check the card balance, he discovered that there was no money there.

During the investigation, police established the involvement of the man’s 10-year-old daughter in the incident. It turned out that the girl regularly received pocket money. She spent part of it on buying virtual currency and things in an online game. When one day there wasn’t enough money for what she wanted, the manager suggested a way out of the situation, who wrote to her in the messenger. He suggested using the card of one of the adults. The schoolgirl followed all the instructions and the scammers were able to write off 350 thousand rubles from her father’s card.

An investigation into the fraud is currently underway, reports the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kostroma Region.
