April 24. Interfax-Russia.ru – Russian President Vladimir Putin considers it necessary to revise the standards for assessing the cost of major housing repairs in flood-affected regions.

“The cost of major repairs of 1 square meter of housing was previously determined by the relevant government decree and was not indexed in any way. Despite all our attempts to curb price increases (…), special attention needs to be paid to this. We need to look at the real cost of major repairs today and if necessary, and I think there is such a need, change this norm,” Putin said on Wednesday at a meeting on liquidation of the consequences of floods in the VKS mode.

In addition, according to him, it is necessary to resolve the issue of payments for those who have a second home or a share in another building.

“We definitely need to look at this issue more carefully and resolve it informally,” the president emphasized.

Putin also called for canceling the list of property for the loss of which compensation is paid.
