Rostelecom and the Social Fund announce the opening of the 10th anniversary competition “Thank you to the Internet – 2024”

The acceptance of works for the X All-Russian competition “Thanks to the Internet – 2024”, organized by Rostelecom and the Social Fund of Russia with the support of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) and ANO Digital Economy, has begun. The competition is held annually as part of the ABC of the Internet charity project.

Internet users over 50 years of age and people with disabilities, regardless of age, can participate in the competition. The main task of the participants is to learn how to work on a computer and the network independently or in specialized computer courses and talk about their victories and achievements in the competitive work.

Competition nominations:

• “My Internet achievements”;
• “My public Internet initiative”;
• “I am an Internet star”;
• “Family Internet History”;
• “My original developments” is a special nomination for teachers, dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the “ABC of the Internet” project.

Competition goals:

• formation of a positive public opinion on the development and application of modern telecommunications technologies;
• identifying the most relevant Internet resources for pensioners;
• identifying the most active regions interested in organizing training for retirees;
• increasing the availability of government electronic services, supporting active aging;
• assistance in matters of employment of “young pensioners”;
• promotion of the ABC of the Internet training portal.

Competitive works will be accepted until October 24, 2024; the results of the competition are planned to be announced no later than December 25, 2024.

To take part in the competition, you must submit an application on the website www.azbukainterneta.ru/konkurs, attach your competition work – an essay written on the topic of one of the competition nominations, as well as photographs. The winners will be determined by members of the competition commission, which includes representatives of Rostelecom, the Social Fund, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications and the Digital Economy ANO.

Teachers participating in the competition will be able to present their unique developments, as well as get acquainted with other methods. The winners in the category for teachers will be determined by the participants themselves: in your personal account you will be able to support one of your colleagues by casting your vote for his work.
