The construction of hospitals for war veterans in the Central Federal District was frozen indefinitely. Misuse of money, fires, design errors – the reasons are different, but the result is the same. The construction site was supervised by Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov (pictured), who was arrested the day before.
Construction of the Bryansk hospital began in 2023. Construction began in January. The building caught fire for the first time in June, and the second time in July. In August, Timur Ivanov said that everything was ok with the hospitals, the builders would finish the work in the fall. The fall of 2023 has passed, the spring of 2024 has arrived, and still nothing.
Hospitals for soldiers in Belgorod and Kursk began to be built in 2023. Subcontractor – Ak TASH LLC from Tatarstan. As a source associated with construction supervision in Belgorod told Mash, work was stopped due to confusion in finances. Now they are checking where exactly the money was spent.
In Kursk, problems with construction began at the excavation stage. Then the regional minister of construction stated:
The Russian Ministry of Defense has chosen a plot of land for the construction of a military hospital that is not provided with water supply and sewerage. To solve a problem with engineering communications, we have to put in much more effort and time.
As a result, the hospital is still not ready.
In all cases, we are talking about a construction site with an area of 20 thousand square meters. As Mash learned, the cost of the project in Belgorod alone is 4.5 billion rubles.
