Pskov State University became the operator of the competition of popular science expeditions of the Union State

Pskov State University became the operator of the competition of popular science expeditions of the Union State, initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The project is aimed at developing educational, safe and comfortable youth tourism on the territory of the Union State, the press service of Pskov State University told PAI.

From May 1 to May 31, a competitive selection of popular science expeditions in the space of the Union State of Russia and Belarus will be held for Russian and Belarusian universities. To participate, it is necessary to develop a youth tourism program, which will include an introduction to the university, the region and a career guidance track.

Based on the results of the competition, 12 popular science expeditions will be selected. The winning programs will be posted on the website studtourizm.rf and will be available for registration of participants from June to November 2024. You can apply using the link.

The content of the tour must include at least two destinations to choose from:

– popular science track (visiting the university, getting to know the university infrastructure, scientific laboratories, attending lectures, master classes, seminars, conferences);

– career guidance track (visiting production enterprises, getting acquainted with professions, completing practical training);

– cultural and educational track (excursions to historical places with visits to historical, architectural, cultural monuments, as well as leisure activities – concerts, exhibitions, theatrical performances).

It is planned that at least 1,000 students and young scientists from universities of the Union State aged 18 to 35 will take part in the routes.

The competition was organized by Pskov State University, the project office of international youth cooperation in the “Russia – Belarus” direction with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
