This year the Unified State Exam in Russia starts on May 23. The schedule was approved by orders of the Ministry of Education and Rosobrnadzor. On this day, schoolchildren will take geography, literature and chemistry.

In five days, graduates will have to test their knowledge of the Russian language, and on May 31 – in mathematics, basic and specialized levels. Already at the beginning of June, the remaining subjects are handed over.

This year, an innovation is being introduced into the Unified State Examination. It was proposed by Vladimir Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly. If a student does not pass one subject with the result that suits him, then he can retake it on specially established dates – July 4 and 5. In this case, the results can be obtained before the start of the admission campaign to universities. Moreover, if mathematics and Russian are not passed at the minimum level, then they will have to be retaken only next year.

Another question that worries graduates and their parents is how to properly apply to a higher education institution. There is no single database yet, so it is necessary to clarify everything directly with universities in each specific case.

Leading specialist of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kaluga Region Mikhail Morozov: “Here everything depends on the preferences of the graduate and on the features that the university itself puts forward. We offer the simplest option. It may not be the easiest in terms of its application, but it is simple: go to the websites of universities that interest you, contact the admissions committee and clarify the details of admission“.
