Important news for residents of the Komi Republic: an application has been submitted to purchase about a hundred buses on lease!

Last year, municipalities of the republic already received almost 60 new buses, which significantly improved the situation with public transport.

On April 24, First Deputy Chairman of the Government Elmira Akhmeeva presented a report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2023 at a meeting of the Komi State Council. She noted positive changes in the field of passenger transportation and emphasized the importance of updating the transport fleet for the comfortable and safe movement of residents throughout the republic.

Thanks to the presidential uniform subsidy, 20 buses were sent to Arctic municipalities, which helped improve access to transport for residents of remote areas. And thanks to a special treasury loan in the amount of 300 million rubles, this year we managed to purchase another 39 buses.

However, work on updating public transport does not stop. This year, an application was submitted to the Russian Ministry of Transport for participation in the implementation of an investment project for the acquisition of rolling stock of ground public passenger transport for subsequent transfer to preferential leasing. The application was submitted for 98 buses.

Thus, in the near future, residents of the republic will be able to experience real improvements in the field of transport services thanks to the government’s constant work to renew the bus fleet and increase the accessibility of public transport for all categories of the population.
