The Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region approved an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the purchase of 54 drones for schools and the regional Ministry of Forestry over the next two years

At the April meeting of the Legislative Assembly, deputies adopted the law “On approval of the conclusion of an agreement on the implementation in the territory of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation of a regional project that ensures the achievement of indicators and activities (results) of the federal project, which is part of the national project “Stimulating demand for domestic unmanned aerial systems” in the territory Vladimir region”.
First Deputy Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Vasily Osmakov and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Vladimir Region Sergei Sidorin agreed that the federal budget will allocate a targeted subsidy to the region in the amount of 345 million rubles for the purchase of drones for schools and the Ministry of Forestry and for training students and foresters to work with this technique.
The Vladimir region has committed itself to purchasing 19 UAVs for educational institutions by the end of 2024, and 35 drones for departments of the Ministry of Forestry by the end of 2025. This will be the region’s contribution to the implementation of the state order for unmanned aircraft systems until 2030.
Zebra TV previously reported that classes on teaching children and teenagers how to operate drones are planned to be held as part of additional educational programs. 18 schools in the Vladimir region and the Kovrov Transport College intend to participate in the experiment.
Let us add that at the March meeting of the Legislative Assembly, Vice-Governor Vladimir Kuimov, who oversees the social sphere, told deputies about the importance of studying drones:
“Starting September 1, 2024, a new specialty in unmanned aerial systems will be opened at the Transport College of the city of Kovrov. All this, of course, attracts children today. What is a drone? This is not only the Armed Forces. This is a survey of agricultural land, questions related to the survey of forestry areas, questions related to the study of the landscape, and so on. Guys who receive this specialty can find themselves in different companies and so on.”
