25th of April. On April 24, a member of the Northern Military District, senior sergeant, company foreman Nikolai Domashevsky submitted documents for the preliminary vote of United Russia in the 8th electoral district to the Duma of the Irkutsk region. Now he is in Irkutsk, undergoing rehabilitation after two operations. Nevertheless, he is actively involved in helping the families of his colleagues, works with volunteers and is involved in socially significant projects. This was reported by IrkutskMedia news agency with reference to the press service of the IRO ER.

To the question – why is he running in the 8th district? – He answers clearly in a military manner: “Because it is the most difficult. We are not afraid of difficulties.”

Electoral district No. 8 in the Irkutsk region has, indeed, been in the news for many years: it is part of the territory of the Markov municipal formation. As in many new residential neighborhoods, there are problems with roads, housing and communal services, and a lack of public spaces, including sports infrastructure. And there is an acute shortage of social facilities – given the high population density, there are not enough schools, kindergartens, and additional education institutions.

Nikolai Domashevsky notes that if elected to the Duma of the Irkutsk region, he will actively develop his constituency. Work experience and education allow. He has a diploma with honors from the RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation, and before mobilization he studied for a master’s degree at the Faculty of Law of Baikal State University. Worked in government agencies.

Despite the fact that he is not behind the ribbon now, the SVO does not let go: he helps the families of his colleagues, advises the mobilized themselves on legal issues, helps those undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, and works with volunteers.

“Those of us who are here in the green zone help those in the red zone. We can directly come and see what’s in the families – not what they tell our children so as not to disturb them, but what really If something hasn’t been resolved, we are solving the problem. We are helping all our soldiers in every possible way, and not only on the issue of air defense,” says Nikolai Domashevsky.

He is in constant contact with his colleagues. I am especially worried about one of them: a young guy was blown up by a mine and had his foot amputated. Now he is in the Vishnevsky hospital, and in order to make it easier for him to move there, the Domashevsky family helped purchase and deliver to him a special device – the “Free Hands” crutch. A colleague feels the care of his commander even outside of combat.

To be involved in the affairs of participants in a special military operation and their families, to help them, to protect their rights – in solving this task Nikolai Domashevsky has comrades-in-arms, and the first of them is his wife Yulia Domashevskaya. She has been involved in this process since her husband’s mobilization, since September 2022.
