The other day, the head of the region, Vitaly Khotsenko, announced that the contractor who is engaged in the overhaul of the Leningradsky Bridge will soon begin construction of a bridge across the Om, which is planned to be put into operation in 2026.

Earlier it was reported that construction would begin on a concession basis – an agreement for this would be signed with the IFR-Om company, associated with the owner of the Stroytrast construction company, Gevorg Akopyan. 1.6 billion rubles will be spent on the construction of a 1.2-kilometer-long crossing that will connect Razdolnaya and 1st Zarechnaya streets on the eastern outskirts of Omsk, near CHPP-5. The most famous feature of the facility is that it will be paid.

RIA “Omsk-inform” Akopyan clarified that his company will build the bridge, but did not explain when exactly construction would begin. He only announced the imminent signing of a concession agreement.

— The concession agreement is currently under consideration by the government of the Omsk region. Everything is in progress. I’m not yet ready to answer when the work will begin, as the entrepreneur put it.

Sources of the site claim that the signing of the agreement is possible immediately after the Leningradsky Bridge is put into operation. It will be fully opened to traffic on June 12. These two events are not connected by chance. The repair of the Leningradsky Bridge is being carried out by the Stroytrust company of Arman Akopyan, the brother of Gevorg Akopyan. Close relatives are long-term business partners. Perhaps Gevorg will make his brother the general contractor for the construction of the new bridge, especially since he has a 1% stake in the capital of the future concessionaire company.

— Regional authorities want to see how the contractor will cope with the reconstruction of the Leningradsky Bridge. And if everything goes well, the contract will be concluded. There is a high probability that this will happen in June,” said a source in the regional government familiar with the situation.
