During the survey, SuperJob service specialists found that 34% of Tula HR officers are interested in the “hobby” item in a job seeker’s resume.

In a survey, Tula recruiters shared that hobbies and entertainment are important selection criteria for them.

So the statistics are as follows:

  • 34% believe that applicants should indicate any hobbies and interests on their resume;

  • 27% prefer to see hobbies in their resume that correspond to their specialty and the nature of their future work;

  • 25% consider this information unnecessary.

Also, judging by the survey, in 5% of cases a candidate was denied employment due to his passion for extreme sports. Such people have an increased risk of injury, and therefore, prolonged hospital stay.
