The car has already been returned to the owner, media44 found out.

During its disappearance, the stolen KIA RIO managed to serve several owners and ultimately ended up in Kostroma. It was purchased by a resident of the regional center in neighboring Yaroslavl. During the pre-sale inspection, the girl checked the VIN with the documents and did not find anything suspicious. The seller, who turned out to be a reseller, assured the future owner of the legal purity of the car.

During registration in Kostroma, State Traffic Inspectorate employees found traces of changes in the body number markings. The examination carried out by the ECC staff not only confirmed the fact that changes had been made to the identification number, but also helped to establish the original data of the car. After receiving information from the manufacturer and checking the car in the database, it turned out that the specified car was listed as wanted by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Cherepovets region, and the owner of the vehicle was a resident of the northern capital of Russia.

A police officer contacted the St. Petersburg resident and reported the find. Currently, after completion of all procedural actions, employees of OP No. 3 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kostroma returned the car to the rightful owner, reports the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
