Football legends, show business stars, bloggers and sports journalists, representatives of the football Media League will determine the winners of the RFU competition, aimed at finding and encouraging initiatives to develop grassroots football throughout the country.

The RFU Communications Service begins accepting applications for media accreditation for the presentation of finalist projects of the “Russia is a Football Country” competition, which will be held on April 27 at the Match TV press center (Novy Arbat St., 24, Oktyabr cinema, 2nd floor) and will begin and begin at 11:00.

Accredited journalists will be able to communicate with members of the jury, finalists of the fourth season and winners of previous seasons of the “Russia is a Football Country” competition.

The expert jury included Honored Coach of Russia, four-time champion of Russia and four-time winner of the Russian Cup, winner of the UEFA Cup Valery Gazzaev, two-time champion of the USSR and winner of the Portuguese Cup Alexander Mostovoy, ex-football player of the Russian national team and multiple medalist of the Russian championship Fedor Kudryashov, ex-goalkeeper of Lokomotiv and the Russian national team, three-time champion of Russia and two-time winner of the national cup Ruslan Nigmatullin, blogger and president of the Broke Boys media team Dmitry Egorov, President of the Football Media League Nikolai Osipov, singer Anna Sedokova, Match TV representatives Sergei Akulinin and Elena Rudakova and other experts, including winners of past seasons of the competition and representatives of the RFU.

Applications for accreditation are accepted by email [email protected] with the obligatory note in the subject line “Defense of projects of the competition “Russia is a football country”. Applications will close on April 26 at 12:00.

“Russia is a Football Country” is a competition of the RFU to find and encourage initiatives that are aimed at developing football in the regions. Any existing project could be nominated in one of eight categories:

– the best grassroots project in football; – the best project for people with disabilities; – the best project for women; – the best amateur league; – the best amateur club; – the best professional club in the field of grassroots football development; – the best football initiative; – the best project for children.

The ninth winner of the competition, like last season, will be chosen by voting on the Sports.ru website. Among all the entries in the competition, the editors will select and present to readers several bright football initiatives in the blog “A Country Where They Love Football.”

444 projects from 76 regions are participating in the fourth season of the competition. The winners in each category will receive 350 thousand rubles. Second place – 300 thousand, third – 250 thousand. News and information about the most outstanding participating projects for all seasons of the competition are published on the website https://strana.rfs.ru/. The fourth season is held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
