TSTU students celebrated Youth Solidarity Day. Students from African and Asian countries introduced their comrades to the cultures of their peoples.
The Day of Culture of Other Countries is a traditional holiday for students of a technical university. This time, students from African and Asian countries introduced their customs, music and dances. These are guys from Algeria, Cameroon, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria and other countries. Students celebrated Youth Solidarity Day with such a vibrant concert program.
Olga Maksimova, head of the international student club “Globus” at TSTU: “Every year, about 200 students study at our preparatory faculty alone. More than 50 countries of the world are represented. These are mainly representatives of African countries, Arab countries, South America is represented.”
The concert program included vocal performances in different languages, including Russian, folk dances and performance on a musical instrument. It is difficult to find a more appreciative audience than foreign students. The audience greeted each number with thunderous applause.
