The Irkutsk Musical Theater will show the concert “Lighthouse People” from the exhibition “Russia”

At the Irkutsk Musical Theater on April 29 at 17:00 the premiere of the program “Lighthouse People” will take place. It was shown at VDNKh on Region Day at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”. Then the Irkutsk region received an award for the best concert program. The folk ensemble “Obereg” will present Buryat, Russian and Cossack songs, throat singing, folklore of Siberian villages in the Bratsk and Kuitun regions, and folk dances. The folk dance ensemble “Palette” and the state song and dance ensemble “Steppe Tunes” will also perform numbers.

The hallmark of the concert program is the vocal and choreographic composition “Our Baikal Wonderful Land!” It reflects the multinationality and soul of the people of the region. The program will also feature the song “Mayaki” by the Russian group IOWA. This “ecological manifesto” about Baikal and the relationship between people and the outside world became the starting point when choosing the name of the concert.
