The Volgograd Regional Court today, April 24, toughened the sentence of Vyacheslav Shishkin, director of the management company “Houseowner of the Sovetsky District,” who received a 1.5-year suspended sentence for abuses amounting to more than 32 million rubles.
As reported to V102.RU in the joint press service of the courts of the Volgograd region, the sentence of the Sovetsky District Court handed down to Shishkin on February 7 of this year was appealed by the prosecutor’s office.
In the appeal submission, the prosecutor noted that the court of first instance did not fully take into account the nature and degree of public danger of the crime committed in the housing and communal services sector with damage of 32 million rubles. It was noted that the convict did not take any measures to pay it off.
The supervisory authority insisted on changing the sentence and imposing an additional punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the exercise of managerial functions, the exercise of organizational, administrative and economic powers in commercial and non-profit organizations for a period of 2 years.
According to the decision of the appellate court, Shishkin will serve his sentence in a penal colony. The request to impose additional punishment on him was also satisfied.
Earlier it was reported that the man fully admitted his guilt in the crime.
The director of the management company was found guilty of receiving money from the population as payment for heat and water from January 2017 to November 2019, but did not transfer the money in full to resource supply organizations.
It was established that Shishkin spent over 32 million on the organization’s activities not related to paying for utilities.
