The Investigative Committee and the FSB Directorate for the Vladimir Region reported that the former deputy head of the Kovrov city administration for housing and communal services, Amangeldy Kuandykov, is accused of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.
Investigators of the Investigative Committee, on the basis of materials from the regional FSB Directorate, opened a criminal case against the former deputy head of the Kovrov city administration for housing and communal services on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe on an especially large scale), and the head of a construction organization on grounds of a crime provided for in Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe on an especially large scale).
According to preliminary information, in the period from 2023 to January 2024, the former deputy head of the Kovrov city administration for housing and communal services, being in a confidential relationship with the general director of a construction organization engaged in the construction of apartment buildings in Kovrov, through third parties received a bribe from the latter in the form of a three-room apartment. The housing was located in a house under construction worth 5.5 million rubles. For such a “gift,” the former deputy head was supposed to contribute, by virtue of his position, to decision-making in the interests of his acquaintance and the construction company he represented.
The former official has now been charged. At the request of the Investigative Committee investigator, the court took the accused into custody. The institution seized the apartment received as a bribe.
With the cooperation of the Investigative Committee and the FSB, the collection of evidence in the case continues.
