The head of the department of the Ivanovo Polytechnic became an Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation

The director of the Institute of Information Technologies, Natural Sciences and Humanities, head of the department of the IVSPU, Varvara Rumyantseva, was awarded the title “Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation.”

For many years, Varvara Rumyantseva has been working to increase the durability of building structures and protect them from corrosion. She is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. Varvara Rumyantseva has published over 400 scientific papers, two monographs, and filed a patent for a utility model. In Ivanovo, she formed a scientific school that deals with the problems of durability and reliability of construction projects.
