The Investigative Committee has completed a criminal investigation against a 47-year-old native of the Sverdlovsk region, who is accused of murder and the illegal acquisition and carrying of weapons and ammunition.
In October 2023, on the shore of Lake Plotskoye in the Ramonsky district of the Voronezh region, a man shot a 61-year-old acquaintance. He fired at least three shots from a firearm into the head and neck of his comrade. The victim died on the spot.
The examination showed that the accused suffers from a chronic mental disorder.
“At the time of committing criminal acts, he could not realize the actual nature and social danger of his actions and control them. He needs to be referred for compulsory treatment to a medical organization that provides psychiatric care in a specialized inpatient setting,” – explained the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region.
The case was sent to court.
