The clergy, Orthodox believers, residents and guests of the Tver region will take part in the procession.

On June 1, the XXV Great Volga Cross Procession will begin in the Tver region. This year its main theme is “Fatherhood and Motherhood – a blessed gift of God.”

“The shrine of the Procession of the Cross is an icon of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Mikhail of Tverskoy and the Holy Blessed Princess and Nun Anna Kashinskaya with particles of their relics. The religious procession, according to tradition, will begin from the source of the Volga in the village of Volgoverkhovye, Ostashkovsky district. There will be a Divine Liturgy, the rite of minor blessing of water, and a concert program will be organized,”

– reported in the Tver diocese.

The Volga religious procession will end on June 14 in Kalyazin.
