In Ryazan, the operation of paid parking has changed. This was reported by the press service of the mayor’s office.

It is noted that the administration of Ryazan has carefully analyzed the work of paid parking over the past 7 years and made changes to it.

The Department of Roads and Transport has revised and significantly reduced the list of streets on which paid parking has been created. The approach to providing free parking has also been revised.

Now people with disabilities are given the right to park exclusively in specially designated areas with signs and markings in strict accordance with Federal legislation.

For large families, the time for using paid parking has been reduced to 3 hours. This allows you to visit sections, clubs, extra classes, as well as medical institutions without the risk of getting a fine. Previously issued parking permits do not need to be reissued.

In addition, electric vehicles are excluded from the list. In the current situation, there is no mass production of electric vehicles in the Russian Federation, and the cost of such foreign-made cars is several times higher than domestic ones. The issued permits will now be cancelled.

Free parking has also been excluded for residents. The vast majority of parking permits were issued to this category. However, homeowners can park in their own local areas, which are mostly closed from the entry of outside vehicles. Also, this category is not unprotected compared to people with disabilities and large families. Issued permits will be revoked.

The message emphasized that paid parking is planned to resume in May 2024.
