In Ulyanovsk they began to renovate courtyards according to a new program

Spring is a time of change. Many Ulyanovsk courtyards can’t wait to see them. In older areas, the area around five- and nine-story buildings requires changes. This year the number of yards that can be improved will increase. All thanks to the new program “My Yard”.

The yard on Gafurov, 84 will soon be unrecognizable – the area will be put in order, the parking area will be increased, and the asphalt will be replaced. During the renovation, residents are asked to bear with the inconvenience, because after that the yard will be significantly transformed. The governor visited the residents, and the head of the house shared plans for improvement.

“We will have parking here, because we already have quarrels, swearing over this – there is nowhere to park the cars. We will also have new smooth asphalt, pedestrian paths, and approaches to the entrances. And there will be landscaping.”

But before starting to replace the asphalt, power engineers will work on site – inspect the networks and, if necessary, repair them.

The courtyards of houses no. 50 and 54 on Rosa Luxemburg Street will also be tidied up. Residents have been waiting for improvements for more than 8 years. All these objects are included in the new regional program “My Yard”. Thanks to additional funding, it will be possible to repair almost 200 courtyards in Ulyanovsk, Dimitrovgrad, Inza, Barysh, and Novoulyanovsk.

“We decided to increase funding from our own regional budget and pay attention to courtyard areas, because they walk with children, go to work – everything is through the courtyard. If everything is in order in the yard, then the mood of the residents will be different.”

In total, under the new program, 565 million rubles will be allocated for repairing courtyards. In parallel, the federal program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” will operate. This year, 73 yards will be landscaped using it.
