Sergei Tsivilev called on residents of the region to be vigilant and not to succumb to the provocations of cyber fraudsters

The governor of Kuzbass asked residents of the region to warn parents, children, colleagues and friends about the danger.

“We are attacked every day, every minute by the Ukrainian special services. Since the beginning of the year, scammers have forced Kuzbass residents to transfer millions of rubles to the accounts from which drones and weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are paid. They are deceiving everyone! The most defenseless are at gunpoint: our parents, our loved ones. We have to stop this! Each of us must first warn our parents, children, colleagues, and friends about the danger – these transfers finance the enemy! At enterprises, organizations, and institutions, I introduce personal responsibility of managers for explanatory work on this issue. You are personally responsible for each employee! The main thing is to prevent crime! Everyone must remember: if you transferred money, you helped the enemy,” — emphasized Sergey Tsivilev.

In Kuzbass, measures are being taken to prevent and combat cyber fraud. They are organized in various formats and for all age audiences – open lessons and practical tasks for schoolchildren and students, educational lectures for the older generation, video lectures for adults.

Thus, in all Kemerovo comprehensive social service centers, bank employees conduct preventive classes for social workers. Together with psychologists, they analyze the main methods of deception used by attackers. The main joint task is to create a clear algorithm for competent behavior in the financial sector.

“Telephone scammers often ask for card numbers and pretend to be relatives. Sometimes they try to fake the voices of their relatives. You can try to answer inappropriately, ask ridiculous questions, and break up the caller’s onslaught. You just need to interrupt the conversation and hang up. If you are not sure and cannot fully convince yourself that this is a scammer, tell your friends about the call, call the police or the bank from which they allegedly contacted you,” — told psychologist of the day care department of the Integrated Center for Social Services for the Population of the Leninsky District of Kemerovo Olga Katasonova.
