On the night of Easter, 230 churches in the Tver region will be guarded by police squads

On April 23, Governor Igor Rudenya held a conference call with the heads of municipalities. Issues of comprehensive security during the May holidays and Easter are considered.

Igor Rudenya called ensuring fire safety in the region a priority. The governor set the task of completing work in municipalities before the May holidays on plowing and creating mineralized strips around populated areas, arranging fire water supply sources and access to them, and ensuring the readiness of equipment, forces and means to extinguish fires. You should also check whether populated areas are equipped with fire warning systems.

“During a fire hazard period, it is important that the operation of such devices is established, – said Igor Rudenya. “I want to emphasize: representatives of the forestry industry and agriculture should provide support to municipalities in the event of local fires.”

During holidays and weekends, constant monitoring of the fire situation and patrolling of public recreation areas, water bodies, gardening communities and dacha cooperatives adjacent to forests will be organized. Work is underway to inform citizens about the inadmissibility of burning dry grass, burning vegetation and garbage, and making fires in forest areas and near residential buildings.

A separate area of ​​work is the prevention of crime and incidents involving minors. Igor Rudenya instructed the Ministry of Family and representatives of municipalities to carry out appropriate work with parents to ensure the safety of children, to prevent them from being on water bodies, on transport, or playing with fire.

Tasks have been set to ensure anti-terrorist security and the protection of public order in places where festive events are held, especially during the Holy Resurrection of Christ and Victory Day. Thus, on the night of May 4-5, services are planned in more than 230 churches in the Upper Volga region. Police, National Guard, rescuers and doctors will be on duty. The governor instructed to extend the operating hours of public transport during this period so that people can safely get home after the completion of holiday services.

Another issue discussed at the conference call was the holding of mass cleanup days in all municipalities, work on improvement and landscaping of populated areas.

“This is our common cause. We must prepare for Easter and the May holidays, including as part of the All-Russian environmental cleanup day,” – said the governor.

The head of the region emphasized: it is necessary to put in order streets, roads, sidewalks, viewpoints and memorable places, public recreation areas in municipalities, as well as entrances to churches, including rural ones.

Let us remind you that on April 20, in the Tver region, as well as throughout the country, the all-Russian environmental cleanup event “Green Spring” started, which will last until the end of May. Residents of the Tver region, employees of enterprises, volunteers, and young people take part in cleaning activities of public areas.

Also, traditionally, in the spring, a lot of reforestation work is carried out in the region, and tree planting campaigns are held in populated areas. For a number of years, the Tver region has been a leader in the Central Federal District in artificial reforestation. This spring it will be held on an area of ​​6.5 thousand hectares.

In addition, the Upper Volga region will traditionally take part in the annual international event “Garden of Memory”, which is implemented within the framework of the federal project “Forest Conservation” of the national project “Ecology”.

As the regional government clarified, at the end of last year, the Tver region, with a total result of 2.6 million trees planted, was among the top three leaders of the “Garden of Memory” campaign. This year, planting is planned on an area of ​​1.6 thousand hectares. As part of the campaign, 5.1 million seedlings and saplings of tree species will be planted.
