Flood 2024 in the Kurgan region
In Kurgan, after the peak of the flood, the embankment on the dam became deserted. A URA.RU correspondent captured footage of the empty dam.
“There are no people on the dam during the day,” the correspondent said. After the peak of the flood in Kurgan passed, residents’ interest in the river decreased. There are only a few observers of the flood outflow.
An additional factor was the cooling in the region. Also affecting visits to the dam are the prohibitions of the authorities who have fenced the dam with barrier tapes. The wind is blowing near Tobol, there are piles of bags of earth and a puppy is sleeping on the Kirov Bridge.
