On June 8, the interregional folk festival “Trinity festivities in Vasilevo,” dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia, will take place on the territory of the Vasilevo Architectural and Ethnographic Open-Air Museum in the Torzhok district. This vibrant event, which annually attracts thousands of spectators, has been held by the Tver Regional House of Folk Art for the 29th time.
The holiday in Vasilevo provides an opportunity for residents and guests of the Upper Volga region to get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Russian people, enjoy colorful performances by folk groups, and take part in master classes and folk games. At the big festival in Vasilevo, amateur folk art groups perform – singing, folklore, choreographic, as well as military-patriotic clubs, circus studios, historical and ethnographic organizations.
As part of the folklore festival “Trinity festivities”, the IX interregional festival-competition of creative groups and soloists “Trinity Charms – 2024” will be held, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Center for the Culture of the Peoples of Russia of the State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenova. The grand opening of the folklore festival will take place at 11.30.
