Emergency Situations Ministry rescuers fixed a leak in a dam on the Tyumen-Omsk highway

In the Abatsky district, while jointly patrolling the dam along which the Tyumen-Omsk federal highway passes, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and the road service discovered a leak and promptly prevented a breach of the embankment, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

“Specialists from the emergency department immediately arrived at the scene. Within a few hours, rescuers filled up and strengthened the emergency area. The leak has now been fixed and the water is being pumped out,” the message states.

The federal highway Tyumen-Omsk is open for travel. Reversible traffic has been organized in the dam area.
