Interactive SKIF and cinema will appear at the updated stand of the Novosibirsk region at the Russia exhibition | 04/25/2024 | Novosibirsk

The Novosibirsk region continues to work at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia“, which has been officially extended until July 8. The stand of the Novosibirsk region has been closed since April 20 for new construction of exhibition spaces: in its updated form, the stand will welcome visitors on April 25.

The new stage of the “Days of Russia” exhibition is dedicated to travel, the country’s traditions and our future. The updated exhibition space at VDNKh in pavilion 75B will retain the selected concept of Academician Lavrentiev’s triad “Science – Education – Production”, but will be supplemented with new zones and activities. A panoramic cinema will appear at the stand: a wall of LED screens 3 meters high and more than 10 meters long will broadcast films about Novosibirsk and its attractions, including the children’s cartoon “Mice in Space” about the adventures of mouse scientists in Akademgorodok. Up to 8 visitors to the stand will be able to watch the film in the cinema at the same time.

The new interactive zone “SKIF” will tell you everything about the Siberian ring photon source. The exterior of the structure will be made of composite with a metal finish and neon lighting, creating a cosmic effect. This area will contain interactive panels with live information about the construction of SKIF and its operating principle and a diagram of the accelerator with visual effects.

The “Past – Present – ​​Future” layout in the “Science” zone will be supplemented with new objects, and interactive binoculars will allow you to learn more about the exhibits using 3D graphics and VR effects. A quiz area will appear in the Education zone – this activity format has become the most popular among visitors to the stand. On different days, quizzes on career guidance will be held for applicants, quizzes-interviews for employment in Novosibirsk companies, as well as quizzes on tourist sites in the Novosibirsk region.

The activity zone will also undergo changes: paintings made from Rubik’s cubes will become three-dimensional, a high-speed bicycle will appear that can accelerate the molecules in SKIF before exploding, and a special photo zone with chromakey for atmospheric photos.

In addition to updating the stand, the Novosibirsk region is preparing for summer activities at VDNKh. Until the end of the exhibition, the regions will hold weekly thematic days, business discussions and panel sessions, cultural and entertainment events. Soon the exhibition will host Labor Productivity Days (May 10), Wedding Festival (May 12), Day of the Siberian Federal District (May 30-31) and others.

Let us remind you that the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” has been running at VDNKh in Moscow since November 4, during which time it has been visited by more than 10 million people. The exhibition is organized in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The exposition of the Novosibirsk region at VDNKh is presented by order of Governor Andrei Travnikov. At the level of the Russian Government, a decision was made to extend the exhibition until July 8.
