On April 23, under the leadership of Svetlana Ilyina, a visiting event was held by the Samara Provincial Duma Committee on Education and Science on the implementation of the Law of the Samara Region dated June 17, 2021 No. 58-GD “On state support for student groups in the Samara region”
The work was attended by deputy chairmen of the committee Natalya Bobrova and Roman Markarov, committee members Marina Erina, representatives of regional departments: the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Youth Policy.
The Samara region is one of the leaders in the Volga Federal District in the development of student teams. The number of fighters in this youth movement is about 4 thousand people, united in 137 student detachments in seven areas of activity. These are construction, pedagogical, agricultural, Putin, service, medical detachments and guide detachments. An additional impetus for the development of the movement of student groups in the province was the regional law adopted by deputies of the Samara Provincial Duma “On state support for student groups in the Samara region”
In order to get acquainted with the range of opportunities for student teams, deputies of the Education and Science Committee of the regional legislative assembly arrived at the Youth Center of the Samara Region. A modern, multi-format space for student teams opened here two years ago. Coworking center for team meetings, workplaces, museum space. This place is called “Home” by the guys for whom student life has become not just a stage in education, but a real start to life. Head of the Samara regional branch of the International Public Organization “Russian Student Teams” Anna Trukhanova said that during the training period, students can gain practical knowledge about the profession, the organization of the work process and its specifics. Thanks to the implementation of federal grants, children are also given the opportunity to undergo free vocational training and retraining in their chosen specialty. Sometimes, this is what becomes decisive in choosing a future career. In the summer of 2023, about 2.5 thousand students were employed, which is 20% more than in 2022.
Members of student teams always actively take part in socially significant events and promotions of both regional and federal significance and provide volunteer assistance. They tell schoolchildren about their work by participating in “Talking about Important Things” lessons.
Student teams operate not only in universities, but also in professional educational organizations in the region. Students of Samara colleges and technical schools, under the guidance of their senior comrades and teachers, in addition to their work activities, are involved in organizing events that are significant for municipalities. Such as, for example, helping veterans and war participants, holding professional master classes for schoolchildren, collecting humanitarian aid for participants of the Northern Military District.
In 2024, two significant dates are celebrated: the 65th anniversary of the Russian Student Brigades movement and the 20th anniversary of the Youth Public Organization “Russian Student Brigades”. Samara students approach these dates with a huge amount of knowledge and ideas, which regional law helps them implement “On state support for student groups in the Samara region”
Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the Regional Parliament Svetlana Ilyina noted: “ We are very proud that the Samara region became one of the first Russian regions where, in 2021, a law was adopted that allows regulating the activities of student groups. We are also proud to have a wonderful home for our student groups. Now we see the conditions under which the student headquarters and coworking center operate, and how students are admitted and employed. The youth of the Samara region are our future. And the fact that all the nuances of this great work have been regulated at the legislative level indicates that our region will receive highly qualified personnel. After all, having initially chosen one direction, the guys have the opportunity to undergo professional retraining and master another specialty thanks to grant funds. This means that the right choice will be made in future work activities. ”
