As follows from the TSU press service, as part of the collaboration of the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, scientists and analysts will study information about tourism and hospitality in various regions of the Russian Federation.
Based on the results of processing the collected data, specialists will develop proposals for the development of the country’s tourism industry, with the North Caucasus Federal District becoming the starting point of the project.
It is noted that at the first stage, researchers will use the RosNavyk labor market data analytics service. The platform will help identify the skills and competencies required by employers, and the results obtained will become the basis for updating professional standards and educational programs at all levels.
– The economy of our country, and the world as a whole, is undergoing dramatic changes, and the ability to quickly adjust educational programs to the changing needs of the labor market creates sustainability and the key to the country’s competitiveness. The RosNavyk service developed by TSU and the Data-Daiving Academy allows you to process data from 23 million vacancies based on artificial intelligence algorithms. Based on these analytics, a joint scientific group will develop approaches to analyze staffing needs in the tourism industry, – said the general director of the consortium, head of the laboratory of applied analysis of big data at TSU, Vyacheslav Goiko.
Currently, the Center for Strategic Research, the Federal Center for the Development of Human Resources in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry in St. Petersburg and the Council of Professional Qualifications of the National Council of Qualifications under the President of Russia are working on the task of improving the sphere of domestic tourism in Russia, set by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
“The decision to create a scientific group to analyze data in the field of tourism was made during the III Design and Analytical Session for universities of the North Caucasus Federal District in Stavropol. The session was attended by more than 100 representatives from 20 universities, government bodies of the macroregion, the Center for Strategic Research and large technology companies.”– explained at TSU.
