In the Zaigraevsky district, experts took soil and water samples from the site of a manure leak at the Sibagro JSC pig farm in the village of Ust-Bryan. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Buryatia.

Let us remind you that in October last year there was an accident at the enterprise. Due to the leak, livestock by-products entered the channel adjacent to the pig farm and the Uda River.

Because of the incident, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case for environmental pollution. The company also underwent an internal audit, as a result of which another criminal case was opened.

On April 23, a special commission arrived in the republic and left for the site. Experts inspected the area and examined water bodies there. They took soil and water samples. They are examined in a laboratory to determine the harm caused.

– The final legal assessment of the activities of Sibagro JSC will be given after receiving the results of the environmental assessment. The criminal investigation continues, the department said.
