The intensive start-up development program is taking place within the framework of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform” of the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation.” It is aimed at unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of young scientists who want to launch their own project in the near future.
In total, about a thousand people will take part in the “-0+500.Siberia” accelerator. These are young scientists, graduate students, innovators, students, university teachers, representatives of large enterprises and the IT sector of the region, federal experts and trainers, representatives of federal venture and investment funds, and technology project support structures.
Boiling Point Omsk and SibADI have positive experience in developing startups within the framework of the acceleration program. Last year, about five hundred students and teachers from Omsk universities took part in it. Last year’s acceleration program projects received implementation on the basis of industrial partners and resource support,” — said Polina Kharlamova, head of the acceleration program, leader of “Boiling Point Omsk”.
This year, the organizers are offering an expanded program to boost projects and teams to the maximum. Representatives of various industrial enterprises came to meet the participants at the grand opening of “-0+500.Siberia”. They spoke about their areas of work and the projects they need to develop. The companies expressed their readiness to provide startups with their production sites for those innovators who plan to create new technological solutions for specific niches.
After this, the accelerator participants moved on to the first practice and played the business game “Project Engine”. Young scientists divided into teams to get to know each other and practice project interaction skills. Experienced mentors diagnosed each group and identified its strengths and areas for development.
The technology entrepreneurship training will run until November. The result of the “-0+500.Siberia” accelerator will be a forum of technology projects with the participation of federal speakers from the ANO Platform of the National Technology Initiative, the Skolkovo Foundation, the NTI Foundation, experts in the field of technological entrepreneurship and investors, where the participating teams will present their startups to a wide audience audience. The project that reaches the final stage of the acceleration program will receive a cash prize for its implementation.
