In the summer, sanatoriums in the Saratov region organize shifts for 200 children and teenagers from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
Children will relax in the social and health center “Lazurny” in the Balakovsky district and “Pugachevsky” in the Pugachevsky district.
According to Governor Roman Busargin, sports, educational and creative events are organized for children from the LPR and DPR in Saratov sanatoriums.
“Those who have poor health will be able to receive the necessary medical care; if necessary, psychologists will work with the children,” the head of the region noted.
Our task is to help children from the LPR and DPR to adapt as quickly as possible, to make their vacation comfortable, bright and memorable,” said Governor Roman Busargin.
- At the beginning of April, Deputy Chairman and Minister of Education of the region Mikhail Orlov said that this year 627 health organizations will operate in the region, 40 of which are seasonal camps with round-the-clock stays. More than 1.2 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget for the health campaign. According to Orlov, the average cost of a trip to a camp in the Saratov region is 26.2 thousand rubles, sanatoriums – more than 35 thousand.
- Last year, shifts were organized for children and SVO participants in Saratov health camps. The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the region, Sergei Egorov, said at a round table in the regional Duma that Saratov residents, on average, have to wait three years to receive a free trip to a sanatorium. In the case of SVO participants, “there are mechanisms” that allow them to issue vouchers faster, the head of the department noted.
