Today, April 25, Omsk Mayor Sergei Shelest reported on the progress of preparing city fountains for launch.

The start of work, as it became known, is planned for May 1, and at the moment there are no delays or force majeure circumstances.

At the moment, repairs of the fountain in Pervokirpichny Square, fountains on Zarechny Boulevard, Teatralnaya Square, Zeleny Boulevard, Putilov Street have already been completed, fountains in Dzerzhinsky, 30 Let Komsomol and Pervomaisky squares have been put in order, and the functionality of the fountain on Pobedy Boulevard has also been checked.

As previously reported, the fountain bowls themselves have already been cleaned and, if necessary, the integrity of the coating is restored.

Trial runs are being carried out.

Let us remind you that the fountains, there are 15 in total in Omsk, are traditionally closed for the winter season in mid-autumn. Technical parts and equipment are usually removed, and the bowls themselves are covered with special structures. In 2023, the last fountains were closed on October 17th.
