Meeting of the discussion club “Dialogues about the important” on the topic: “100 years of the Sormovsky district!” will take place at the Central Regional Library named after. As the department said, the event will be attended by 8th grade students from schools in the Sormovo district. At the meeting, the conversation will be about the history of Sormovo from the perspective of the heritage of wonderful traditions – its work, struggle, residents who create its history every day.

“Each district of the city of Nizhny Novgorod is famous for its history and people. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Sormovo working district, one of the oldest in Nizhny Novgorod. The second largest in number and at the same time the largest in terms of area, the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod has always been a special territory, a kind of city within a city,” noted the department’s specialists.

The leader of the club is a specialist from the NN ER Center, a full member of the Nizhny Novgorod Local History Society and philologist Anna Medvedeva.

The event was organized by the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of the City of Nizhny Novgorod and the Department of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration. Co-organizers: the department of education and the department of culture of the administration of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as the administration of the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod.
