A parade of rare and modern fire fighting equipment will take place in Tomsk

Festive events dedicated to the 375th anniversary of the formation of the Russian fire department will be held in Tomsk on April 27. Citizens will see ancient and modern fire fighting equipment, which will march along Lenin Avenue in a column.

Fire Protection Day is celebrated in Russia every year on April 30. In honor of the upcoming holiday, ceremonial events will be held, they will take place this Saturday, April 27.

At 10 o’clock on the square near the drama theater, the formation of personnel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Tomsk Region will begin. After this, at 11:00, a column of retro and modern fire fighting equipment led by a horse-drawn troop will pass along Lenin Avenue. There will be more than 20 vehicles in the convoy, the department clarified for vtomske.ru. According to the mayor’s office, there will be no need for a blockade for the parade.

The cars will travel to Novosobornaya Square and will be parked near SFTI. The display of fire fighting equipment, weapons and equipment will last until 17:00.

In addition, from 13:00 to 15:00, children’s competitions and quests will be held on Novosobornaya Square, and from 13:30 to 16:00 – crossfit competitions among fire departments.
