As part of the regional military sports game “Victory”, the regional stage of the game was held among students of municipal budgetary educational institutions on the basis of VSTU in the Leninsky district.
The event was organized by the city department of education and youth policy, the Leninsky district government, the district education department, with the support of the branch of the children’s and youth association “New Generation”.
The event began with a speech by the guests of honor – combat veterans and veterans of the Armed Forces. Here, the head of the Leninsky district, Sergei Sitnikov, on behalf of the leadership of the international public organization “Panjshir.682” presented the public award “For participation in the Panjshir operation” to an Afghan war veteran, retired colonel Igor Mukosiy.
– Igor Viktorovich gained the respect of his colleagues, like-minded people, and subordinates. By personal example not only on the battlefield in Afghanistan, but also in civilian life, carrying out active work in veterans’ organizations, schools and universities. We are proud of our fellow countryman,” said Sergei Sitnikov.
Next, teams of boys and girls from 4 schools in the district competed in performing drill techniques, disassembling and assembling an AK-74 assault rifle, loading a magazine with cartridges, putting on a gas mask and a combined arms protective kit; fulfilled the standards of all-around sports, demonstrated the skills of first aid to the “victims”, and, on the instructions of the coach, tied tourist knots.
All participants in the game showed fairly good results. However, senior students from school No. 14 beat their opponents and became the best. The team of the 13th school took second place, and the third went to Lyceum No. 65. The team of Lyceum No. 65 became the winner in the younger age group. The winners received certificates and valuable prizes from the district government.
While the jury members were summing up the results, athletes from the Voronezh Region Powerlifting Federation conducted their bench press classes for the guys.
It should be noted that the best team in disassembling and assembling machines was recognized as the team from the 13th school, the best in sports were the students of the 14th school, and the students of the 65th lyceum were the best in tying tourist knots.
Veterans did not lag behind the youth either. The head of the Leninsky district, Sergei Sitnikov, a major in the reserve of the border troops, temporarily performed a master class on disassembling and assembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, showing good results.
Let us add that the team from MBOU Secondary School No. 14 will represent the Leninsky district at the zonal stage of the “Victory” game.
